FAQ's
1. Can my car run completely on water? Not at present. Currently there are people working on this and we at Water Fuel Ireland will know when they know. At the moment our aim is to supplement our fuel and enable more of the petrol to be burned rather than expelled through the exhaust emitting harmful toxins into the atmosphere. The gas generated from the water will suppliment your existing fuel, whether it is petrol, diesel or lpg. If it's so good, why haven't I heard about it? You're hearing about it now! Waterfuel technology has been around since...you'll find it hard to believe...the year 1800! The first internal combustion engines ran on Hydrogen (made from water) for the first 8 years until they "invented" petroleum. Our own design is based on old-old U.S. patents from 1884 and 1918. Amazing but true. This is not new! 2. This generated gas, Isn't highly explosive? Yes. But this is an On Demand system. The gas is generated when the ignition is turned on and stops when the car is turned off. The gas is not stored in any pressurised tanks, but in its safest form - water, and is used as it is generated. There is no build up whatsoever of this HHO gas and only drawn into the engine via vaccum suction. As it needs it, it draws it in through manifold or air intake manifolds. Hydroxy contains one part of Oxygen (as well as two parts of Hydrogen of course), in contrast to pure hydrogen. Hydroxy is significantly more combustible than hydrogen, thanks to the oxygen. Pure hydrogen has its benefits, but is expensive to make. That's the charm of Hydroxy - it's easy and economical to make. 3. I heard that Hyrdogen weakens metal over time, is this true? Yes, Hydrogen is a powerful gas and very pure. However we are not generating Hydrogen, we are generating Hydroxy or Browns Gas which on a molecular level holds the same components as water vapour. 4. Does my engine needs large space to house this? In short no. The generator cells are just a little bigger than a large coffee jar and so can be placed where there is little space in the coolest part of the engine. 5. What size generator cells are required for my car? For every litre or 1000cc of engine capacity it is recommended that a minimum of 1 cell will suffice, of course you can place more if you wish. A 2 litre engine will take two units and can take many more depending on the owners wants and wishes. Some people install 4 or 6, even 8 cells producing large quantities of Hydroxy. 6. Do I have to monitor the waters levels in the cells? Yes you do. Like your petrol tank, it will have to be topped up at certain intervals. With the understanding that every car is different and driving habits varied, usually a full cell with last you approximately 900 - 1000 miles which is very good for a quarter of a litre. Saying that it is advisable to check levels now and then to keep the electrolyte in peak action. 7. If the water runs out, what happens then? The vehicle carries on as normal. The only difference is no Hydroxy is going into your engine. You car will not be affected whatsoever. 8. With the new road tax examptions on lower emission vehicles, can I get a reduced rate on my car tax? 9. How does the Water Fuel Ireland kits effect my car insurance? All insurance companies are different. Some may ask for certification that the system was installed by a registered/qualified installer Others won't but because you are not modifying your engine or car in any way sothere is no need to inform them. Water Fuel Ireland kits are fuel enhancement to your current fuel whatever that maybe. Once the unit is installed successfully, there is no danger all at to the vehicle or the driver. Remember, this is only water in a unit that produces 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part Oxygen on demand as the engine draws it in. There is no build up of any one gas and the exhaust emissions are increased oxygen and water. The option is up to you but generally insurances companies might want more information on the product which is fully available. 10. How does this sytesm affect my manufacturers warranty? As stated above, The system is considered an enhancement to the vehicle, which can be reversed to leave the car in its original condition in 30 mins, and not a modification, therefore your warranty should not be effected. After all, the system will significantly reduce the carbon build up and deposits within the engine and make it run smoother and quieter. 11. How much does it cost to fit in my car? 12. Has this systems been tested in other countries? Yes, this system has been around for over 200 hundred years and has been forgotton about due to the increase and dependency on petroleum based fuels. The first internal combustion engine was fuels with Hyrdogen and Oxygen. It has been rediscovered over the past twenty years and even moreso over the past two to three years. They system has been tested in the USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Spain, Germany and Africa. Who would of thought that water could be a paramount fuel aid?
Now Hydrogen is coming back. It's in fashion, everybody's talking about it - and 1000's are actually doing it! I mean doing it at home, not buying Hydrogen at the petrol pump. Because buying Hydrogen at the pump pulls us all the way back to square one - being dependent on a monopoly for such a vital resource as transportation and home energy.
Because road tax is mandatory on all vehicles, the only monetary gains are for newly registered cars in the Country at present. I have no doubt the more this technology get known, certain bodies will have to see the environmental benefits of what we do and take action with green allowances to drivers. At present, there are no reduction rates on self conversion water hybrids.
Prices for our kits will be available in our purchase page. Thank you!
